Buju and Burna Boy
Daniel Benson, the fast-rising Nigerian singer, who’s popularly generally known as Buju, has lastly revealed why he didn’t renew his contract with Burna Boy’s label ‘Spaceship’
Buju was signed to Spaceship Collective in 2020 and launched ‘L’enu’ remix with Burna Boy.
However, the contract led to 2021 and Buju didn’t renew it.
Speaking with HipTV, Buju stated he didn’t renew his contract with Burna Boy as a result of he wished to do issues in a different way on his personal.
Buju stated: “Signing with spaceship was so wonderful I acquired like 9m streams with my remix in April
“Burna heard my music ‘Lenu’ within the membership and ‘vibed’ with it and signed me in 2020 nevertheless it was a 12 months contract and I didn’t renew it.
“I didn’t renew the contract after a 12 months as a result of I wish to do issues by myself in a different way. I’ve seen the way it works round there and it doesn’t essentially move with me.
“Affiliation is nice when it’s working for you.
“I told Burna I wanted to do it on my own and I’ll make him proud and he told me to go along.”
Things switched up for Buju in 2021 and he doesn’t seem like stopping, from his hit music with Ladipoe ‘Feelings’ to Blaqbonez’s Bling all the way down to the collab with Basket Mouth, Savage, and Timaya, Buju has had it full.
Buju has continued to rise as his songs have continued to climb the highest charts.
